Paul Moore – Chief Instructor

Paul Moore, owner and chief instructor at Wild Walk, has been passionate about the outdoors from a very young age. Growing up exploring the fields and forests of his hometown, he spent his childhood immersed in nature — tracking and observing wildlife, hand-fishing for trout, building shelters, and learning to live outdoors. With a particular interest in Irish prehistory, Paul shares his expertise through teaching flint knapping and other prehistoric skills, helping participants connect with ancient crafts and traditional outdoor techniques.

Paul has many years’ experience teaching adults and holds a Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning as well as an NCFE Level 3 Advanced Bushcraft Award, allowing him to design and deliver training and education programmes in bushcraft and outdoor learning. He also holds certifications in child protection, first aid, and ACCESSNI.

As a director, instructor, and assessor in the self-defence and protection industry, Paul has trained government, public, and private individuals and organisations in armed and unarmed defence techniques. He is also trained as a human behaviour analysis specialist.

Beyond bushcraft and teaching, Paul is an accomplished exhibiting artist and designer, working in inks, pencil, charcoal, and watercolour. He enjoys exploring the connection between his outdoor experiences and his art. His craft practice incorporates recycled materials, wood, glass, stone, and obsidian, producing jewellery and decorative home items that reflect both creativity and inspiration from nature.
