Where are your course and workshop locations?
We offer a range of different courses over different locations. Our main camp area is in the beautiful Burn Wood near to the towns of Ballyclare and Doagh. Bordered by two rivers this offers stunning scenery and use of the resources from woodland and river.
We also offer courses on the causeway coastal route right on the shoreline as well as at the stunning Portmuck harbour area.
we are happy to travel to suit the needs of our clients and currently operate in collaboration with Mid & east Antrim, Antrim & Newtownabbey, Causeway coast & Glens and Newry down & Mourne district councils.
We are always on the look out for areas to operate in and people to collaborate and welcome your call.
Is lunch provided?
It is advised to bring your own lunch or snacks. Some courses will include meals made from foraged greens and provided game like venison fish and birds. Your course information will provide you with more details.
Can you provide camping equipment for courses that have an overnight stay included?
Yes we can however it is advisable to let us know well in advance if you wish to hire the use of a tarp, hammock, roll mat or tent. We cant provide sleeping bags just yet though if you are travelling from overseas we will certainly do our best to help you out with one.
Can i cook on the campfire?
Oh course however please make sure your pots etc are rated to withstand campfire conditions.
Can I purchase basic bushcraft equipment from Wild walk?
We do have some items that we sell, knives saws fire steels etc. please let us know what you require and we can certainly help you out. we also can get very competitive rates from bushcraft and outdoor suppliers. If you let us know what you are looking for we can certainly help.
Can I buy vouchers to use against courses and workshops?
Yes you can. If you navigate to our online shop you can pick up vouchers redeenable against our courses experiences and workshops.
If i have been on a course and have forgotten some aspects of what was taught can i contact you to refresh my memory?
Oh course! We pride ourselves at Wild Walk as being very open with the information we share and we welcome past clients contacting us to refresh their memeory or to ask about any aspects of bushcraft or primitive and wilderness living skills! we teach REAL skills which work!
Is it possible to request a tailored private course for myself and my friends or work colleagues?
Absolutely! We are exceptionally good at tailoring courses to suit our clients and welcome any requests of workshop ideas you might have. Give us a shout and we will design something for you!
I am a teacher at a primary school, do you offer outdoor type learning activities that would fit in with our curriculum?
We certainly do! Our primitive ancestors course has been very popular with schools for a number of years now and it mirrors some of the classroom leraning with a more hands on tangible element. We can build educational programmes for your school based around your current timetable and lesson plans. Get in contact and we can discuss it more!
